Let's turn it Inside Out - together.
Across the UK, seriously ill children and their families are facing struggles that nobody sees. Doctors are busy making sure they're physically okay, but their mental health often gets pushed aside. You can help raise awareness today by...
Creating your page,
Wearing it inside out,
And talking about it!
Schools who got involved
Why Inside Out Day?
When a child is seriously ill, the part that hurts most is often the part nobody can see. The fear. The loneliness. The brother or sister who's quietly terrified and doesn't want to add to it. The parent holding it all together in a hospital corridor.
Inside Out Day takes something invisible and puts it on the outside for a day, so people ask why, and so we get to talk about it.
How it works
Pick a day that suits you. Everyone turns something inside out: a jumper, a shirt, a school tie, socks if you're feeling shy about it. When somebody asks why, you tell them. That's genuinely the whole thing. We send you a free pack with everything you need, and you raise money for children and families living with serious illness while you're at it.
Why it works so well in schools
It's a wellbeing day that's already built for you. The day itself does the talking, so there's next to nothing to prepare, and if your school is taking part, we can send over one of our team to deliver an assembly in person.
It's also incredibly inclusive. Every child already owns clothes, so there's no kit to buy, and nothing to get wrong. Nobody's competing to be best dressed!
